Rolling Steel Security Grilles

Security grilles close off an opening without closing off visibility or airflow. We install, repair, and motorize them for retail, parking, and secured areas.

Rolling Steel Security Grilles in Sacramento & Northern California

A rolling security grille is an open pattern of steel or aluminum rods and links that coils above the opening like a rolling door. It's the right answer when you need to secure a storefront, a mall tenant, a pharmacy counter, a concession, a parking garage entrance, or a corridor after hours — while still letting people see in and air move through. Grilles see a lot of cycles and a lot of contact from carts and hands, and their small components wear.

Guardian Door LLC installs, repairs, and replaces manual and motorized rolling security grilles across Sacramento and Northern California. We service curtain links and rods, guides, bottom bars, locks and cylinders, counterbalance springs, and operators, and we upgrade manual grilles to motorized operation with key switches, remotes, or access control. Side-folding grilles are handled as well.

How Security Grilles Works

What to expect from the first call through the finished opening.

  1. 1

    Opening survey

We measure the opening and headroom, note the mounting condition, and identify whether the grille is manual, motorized, or should be converted.

  2. 2

    Grille specification

Pattern, material, finish, locking, and operation are quoted in writing with lead time.

  3. 3

    Installation

Guides, barrel, curtain, and hood are installed, the counterbalance set, and the operator or manual locking installed and tested.

  4. 4

    Repair

On existing grilles we replace damaged links and rods, guides, bottom bars, locks, springs, and operator components.

  5. 5

    Cycle and lock test

The grille is cycled through full travel and every lock point and safety device is verified.
